Guangzhou, China, 25 Nov – Macau’s Cheung Pui Si Wednesday won the bronze medal of the women’s individual kata karate competition at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou.

Also Wednesday Macau’s Lei Kuong Cheong won the bronze medal in men’s +84KG karate games.

It’s the forth medal for Macau in the Guangzhou Games.

Veteran Wushu player Jia Rui won Macau first gold medal at the Guangzhou Asian Games in men’s Daoshu and Gunshu combined last Sunday.

More than 140 players competed for 15 gold medals in Wushu, a full contact sport derived from Chinese martial art.

The Chinese, who founded the sport, are seen the favorites in the 10 events they will participate.

Cai Liangchan of Macau also won a silver medal in the Men’s Sanshou 70kg of Wushu competition.
