Macau, China, 7 Jan – Top table tennis players across the world will compete in the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals slated from today until  January 10 in Macau, announced the Sports Institute.

In both men’s and women’s singles, China remains as favourite for the top honor, as top-ranked Ma Long and No. 3 Ma Lin will show up for the men’s singles, whilst women’s field will witness new world champion Liu Shiwen, 18, as well as Guo Yan, the singles title at Volkswagen Pro Tour Grand Finals.

German strong quintet of Timo Boll, Patrick Baum, Dimitrij Ovtcharov, Bastian Steger and Christian Suss will also compete in the men’s singles, and South Korean Park Mi Young and Kim Kyung Ahare expected to stage strong challenges in the women’s category.

The total prize money is 365,000 US dollars, including 25,000 for U21 singles.
