The brothers told local media that they were originally planning on organising a farewell concert because they felt that people were no longer interested in their music. However, after a meeting with local entertainment production company Chessman, they decided to hold a 20th anniversary concert instead.
The Acconci brothers grew up in Macao, and they debuted in Hong Kong in 2005 with their album 雙聲道 (“Stereo”). The album garnered numerous accolades, with hits like “失魂” (Lost Soul) and “海嘯” (Tsunami). Within a year of their Hong Kong debut, they headlined the Hong Kong Coliseum. Soler’s songs are primarily in Cantonese, Mandarin or English.
Their latest single “翻天覆地” (Turn the World Upside Down) came out this year in July.
