There is currently a call-out for local pop musicians, bands, artists and music instructors for this year’s Hush Beach Concerts. Those interested have until 31 July to apply.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) says the festival will take place from 18-19 October at Hac Sa Beach.

Local musicians interested in applying must have a setlist where at least half the songs are original compositions. However, those applying for the Hush Kids category can perform non-original music.

There will be three major stages at the concert, namely the beach stage Hot Wave, the lawn stage Music Chill and the kids’ stage Hush Kids.

Artists are invited to create and design outdoor art installations on the beach and the adjacent forest area, while musicians and music instructors are encouraged to conceive pop music workshops.

The regulations and a registration form can be obtained and downloaded from IC’s website or the page “Hush Full Music” on Facebook. Selected applicants will be notified individually. Last year’s festival featured nearly 60 local and international musical acts and more than 30 well known fitness and yoga instructors from around Asia. There were also jam sessions open to the public, food and craft stalls, DJs, interactive music installations for children, and a kids’ play zone.
