Tickets for the 34th Macao Arts Festival are now on sale, according to the Cultural Affairs Bureau. The festival will be held from 3 May to 7 June, featuring 19 programmes from theatre and opera to dance, music and visual arts.

Among the highlights are a choreographic interpretation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic The Jungle Book, produced by legendary British dancer and choreographer Akram Khan, and a contemporary version of Sleeping Beauty by Marcos Morau and the Lyon Opera Ballet from France.

Italian director Alessandro Serra meanwhile recreates Shakespeare’s tragedy Macbeth, and the Circa performing ensemble from Australia presents the exuberant Duck Pond.
