The president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), Cecilia Tse Heng Sai, has resigned from her post  today due to health reasons.

A short statement by the IC said the resignation was presented today to her superior in the Macau government.

Kent long Chi Kin had been appointed Acting President of IC since Tse took sick leave.

Cecilia Tse, that before the appointment to the IC was a vice-director of MGTO, was sworn in on December 20 to succeed Leung Hio Ming who resigned to hold himself accountable for the massive hiring fiasco at the Cultural Affairs Bureau which was revealed by the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) in March.

Chan Peng Fai also resigned as vice-president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau over the bureau. The bureau has two vice-presidents.

Leung succeeded Guilherme Ung Vai Meng as the bureau’s president when the latter retired in February.

Tse, who was appointed as one of the MGTO vice-directors in early 2013 joined the tourism office in 1992.
