D2 Club at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf will host a jazz festival on Friday and Saturday.

According to a statement by artist and event production agency NOYB on Sunday, the “made-in-Macao jazz” gig will be held on the stage of the Doca dos Pescadores (“Fishermen’s Dock”) club. The agency promised “interpretations ranging from the classics of the genre to more contemporary compositions. The aim is to celebrate the musical genre in its various expressions”.

The two-day event features The Bridge and Yaya Quintet on Friday and Mars Lee Trio feat-Hon Chong Chan and The Hot Dog Express on Saturday.

The festival will end with a set by DJ Herbie Bangkok aka A Long.

Admission is MOP 180 with two drinks included. Doors open at 9:30 pm. The shows begin at 10:30 pm.

The statement pointed out that the festival is produced by NOYB and supported by the Jazz Club of Macau, Macau Jazz Promotion Association and the Cultural Association +853.

The statement did not mention any anti-Covid-19 precautionary measures during the festival. In general, the Health Bureau (SSM) has requested that public events’ participants have their temperature checked, wear a facemask, present their digital health code and heed social distancing rules.
