Sands China has bid farewell to the 300 medical professionals from Guangdong who were hosted at one of the company’s integrated resorts during the citywide mass NAT drive last week.

At a specially organised farewell ceremony attended by 100 guests on Sunday, each of the Guangdong medical team was given a gift bag as a token of appreciation for their hard work.

Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China, said: “In response to a potential outbreak, the Macao SAR government swiftly launched a series of emergency measures. Our deepest gratitude goes to all Macao healthcare workers for their selfless dedication, and to mainland authorities for sending more than 300 medical professionals to Macao for support – together helping the city successfully complete its mass testing programme in three days. Sands China was honoured to have the opportunity to host the Guangdong medical team during their stay and to play our part in assisting in the fight against Covid-19 and safeguarding our community.”
