Passengers arriving at Macao airport from the mainland must now present valid proof of their negative result of a Covid-19 nucleic acid test with samples taken within an extended span of seven days, prior to boarding, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has announced.

“MGTO is making vigorous promotional efforts in showcasing Macao as a safe and quality destination and spotlighting travel information and special offers among visitors to welcome them for a wonderful journey,” a spokesman said.

Six passenger flights arrived in Macao from the mainland on Wednesday, The Macau Post Daily reported.

“To highlight Macao as a safe and quality destination among travellers, Macao Tourism Mascot Mak Mak showed up at the airport to welcome arriving visitors,” the spokesman added.
