Covid-related fatalities and newly reported cases are falling in Macao, official figures showed yesterday.

The city recorded two more novel coronavirus-related deaths on Monday, raising Macao’s death toll to 91, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced yesterday.

According to the Centre, Monday’s two fatalities, both men, aged 75 and 86, had suffered from underlying health problems, and one of them had not been vaccinated.

The Centre also announced that just 26 new patients diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease were admitted to the Health Bureau’s isolation and treatment facilities on Monday, The Macau Post Daily reported. This marks a substantial reduction to recent day’s totals, when the number of new reported cases has been closer to 100.
