To assist in the implementation of the government’s annual “wealth-sharing” cash handout scheme, a support centre at China Plaza in Avenida da Praia Grande will start operating today, the Finance Services Bureau (DSF) said in a statement on Sunday.
The payout started last week. The handout is the same as last year’s – 9,000 patacas for permanent residents and 5,400 patacas for non-permanent residents.
In 2013, the handout for permanent residents was 8,000 patacas while non-permanent residents received 4,800 patacas.
According to the DSF statement, the centre, located on the second floor of China Plaza, has staff on hand to assist residents who have any questions or doubts about the scheme. Residents can also call a hotline – 28225000.
The office opens from 9.a.m. to 6. p.m. from Mondays to Fridays except public holidays.
The bureau also said that there are about 40 kiosks in various locations on government’s premises, which residents can use to check the latest status of their handout by using their identification cards and fingerprints. (macaunews/macaupost)
