The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is launching two limited tours that will take in the Chinese New Year (CNY) firework displays.
The tours are slated for 3 and 7 February, as well as for the Lantern Festival on 15 February, allowing spectators to watch the fireworks either on a cruise or from Penha Hill.
On the cruise, tour participants can have a buffet dinner on the Macao Cruise vessel while watching the firework display, having first viewed “festive-seasonal flowers” at the Taipa Houses and learned about Macanese culture at the Taipa Houses Museum.
On Penha Hill, tour participants can have a buffet dinner at Riviera Hotel and watch the fireworks from Penha Hill. The tour participants will also visit the “Spring Festival floral exhibition” at the Taipa Houses and the Taipa Houses Museum.
To ensure a safe distance during the meals, caterers have arranged “small-sized tables for tour participants”.
The MGTO emphasised that the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project operates in line with the Health Bureau’s Covid-19 pandemic prevention guidelines such as the requirement for participants to wear facemasks, undergo temperature checks, and present a valid Macao Health Code.
Tour participants must also scan the contact-tracing QR codes (venue codes) using the Macao Health Code app upon entering public establishments during the tours.
Anyone interested can sign up for local tours through travel agencies under the project or at information counters in six local hotels and resorts, The Macau Post Daily reported.
