Macau,China, 12 Sept – Secretary for Economy and Finance Francis Tam Pak Yuen and Secretary for Transport and Public Works Lau Si Io move out of Government House today and start working in the China Bank Building , according to a joint statement from both policy secretaries’ offices on Saturday.
According to the statement, the offices of Secretary for Secretary for Economy and Finance and Secretary for Transport and Public Works will start working today on the 23rd and 26th floors, respectively, of the China Bank Building in Avenida Doutor Mario Soares.
Except for Secretary for Security Cheong Kuoc Va, whose office is housed in the Francisco Barracks, the other four policy secretaries and their offices, namely the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Secretary for Economy and Finance, Secretary for Transport and Public Works and Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, had all been working in Government House since Macau’s return of the exercise of sovereignty to China in 1999.
Executive Chief Fernando Chui Sai On and some of his office space are also in Government House.
Tam and Lau will also share the 27th floor of Bank of China Building, including a conference room, according to the statement.(MacauNews/Politics)
