Sands China said in a statement Monday that The St. Regis Macao, located in Sands Cotai Central, will open in the third quarter of next year.
The statement said that the hotel had recently been topped out. It will be the fourth and final hotel in the Sands Cotai Central complex.
Sands China President and Chief Executive Officer Edward Tracy was quoted by the statement as saying that the project represents the company’s “confidence in the future of Macau and our continued commitment to its development into a world centre of tourism and leisure.”
“Bringing the St. Regis brand to Sands China’s unparalleled integrated resort city in Cotai further diversifies the tourism offering in Macau, and helps raise the profile of the city as a global destination for business and leisure travellers,” Tracy said.
According to the statement, the 400-room hotel will be part of Sands Cotai Central which already houses the Conrad, Sheraton and Holiday Inn hotels.
Sands Cotai Central also features 111,000 square metres of retail, entertainment and dining facilities, meetings and convention space, two spas, three health clubs and a casino.(macaunews/macaupost)
