The central government has appointed Shen Beili as China’s new Commissioner of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau replacing Ye Dao, Xinhua reported Tuesday.
Shen previously served as Minister of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom from 2014 to 2016. A minister is a diplomat directly ranked below ambassador.
Her most recent post was an Assistant Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China.
Ye Dao returned Tuesday to Beijing after a three year stay in Macau.
