The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has unveiled a new property near the sprawling Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Centre (WECC) and the Shenzhen International Exhibition Centre.
The Intercontinental Shenzhen WECC opened its doors on 1 July, offering 359 guest rooms and suites ranging from 50 to 280 square metres, as well as 3,300 square metres of meeting space, including a 1,200 square metre, pillar-free ballroom.
Among the amenities are an infinity indoor heated swimming pool, a 600-square-metre lawn for weddings and other events, a large fitness centre and a kid’s club.

Dining facilities include a Cantonese restaurant, an American-style steakhouse, an international all-day dining venue and a lounge for drinks and afternoon tea.
The hotel is close to transport links such as the Guozhan North Metro Station, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, the Shenzhen Airport North high-speed train station, and Shekou Cruise Home Port.
IHG runs several properties in Shenzhen, including the flagship Intercontinental Shenzhen and three hotels under the Crowne Plaza brand.
