A new, 230-room luxury hotel – the Artyzen Habitat Hengqin Zhuhai – is set to open in March this year, according to an announcement.
A sister property to the Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, the new hotel will be situated in the Shun Tak Hengqin Port Commercial Centre. Its proximity to Hengqin intercity railway station allows guests to conveniently travel to Zhuhai Railway Station, Jinwan Airport, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and Macao.
According to the hotel’s webpage, the property will have a café serving Mediterranean food, a 24-hour gym and meeting facilities. The hotel boasts five different room types.

Hotel guests will also have access to a 43,000-square-metre mall – part of Shun Tak’s Hengqin Integrated Development – scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year.
Earlier this month, Macao’s Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng revealed that his administration was holding talks with the mainland government to discuss issuing multiple-entry visas to travellers who go sightseeing in Macao, but wish to stay overnight in Hengqin, where accommodation is more affordable.
Despite rates that averaged 1,552 patacas last year, Macao’s hotel occupancy has been relatively strong, with the 2023 figure coming in at 85.2 percent, or roughly five percentage points short of the number recorded in pre-pandemic 2019.
