Macau received 23.8 million visitors from January to July, up 20.0% year-on-year, according to the Statistics and Census Bureau.

Visitors stayed in Macau for an average of 1.1 days, down 0.1 days year-on-year, according to the Bureau.

Visitors from Mainland China (16.8 million or 70.9% of the total), South Korea (505,500), Hong Kong (4.3 million) and Taiwan (632,200) registered a growth of 21.7%, 4.6%, 22.1% and 0.9%, respectively.

In July, 3.5 million visitors entered Macau, a year-on-year increase of 16.3%. The BUreau said this increase was driven by the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge, “which has increased the number of visitors.”

The average length of stay of visitors was 1.2 days, down by 0.1 days year-on-year.

In July, the number of visitors to Macau arriving by sea dropped by 43.6% to 544,200, while the number of visitors arriving by bridge reached 553,000.
