More than 300,000 visitors flocked to a Macao roadshow in Shanghai, which showcased all the best that the city has to offer.
Organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office to give the city’s economy a much-needed boost, “Macao Week in Shanghai” saw government departments and a raft of enterprises and businesses set up 40 booths along Yuanmingyuan Road Pedestrian Street in Waitanyuan, Huangpu district, from 3-7 June.
On display were numerous aspects of the city’s tourism, trade and commerce, culture and creativity, sports and entertainment, The Macau Post Daily reported.
An extensive promotional campaign was rolled out for “Macao Week in Shanghai” through online and offline channels across the mainland. As part of the campaign, 16 influencers specialising in travel, lifestyle, culture, gastronomy and other fields conducted 13 live stream videos or posted short videos, photos and articles about the event highlights on different platforms such as Yizhibo and Trip.com.
Through the mega roadshow, tourism and MICE presentation seminar, food promotion and other highlights, the “Macao Week in Shanghai” promoted Macao as a healthy, safe and quality destination among residents and visitors in Shanghai.
