Hunan Jingtai Fireworks Co., Ltd. from China won the 26th Macau International Fireworks Display Contest held for 5 days in September and October.
The team from China was followed by Spain and Australia in the second and third place respectively.
The winner received US$ 8,000 dollars with Spain and Australia receiving US$ 4,000 dollars and US$ 2,500 dollars respectively.
Ten teams from Taiwan, China, Korea, Poland, Croatia, Portugal, Australia, France, Italy and Spain took part in the festival.
Contestant teams from Croatia and Poland and pyrotechnic companies from Spain and Australia made their debut in Macau.
Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) organized the first edition of Macau International Fireworks Display Contest in 1989 and carried on the annual tradition till today. (macaunews/MGTO)
