Air Macau is planning to start flights to Bangkok and Osaka before Christmas and to other regional destinations in January.
Chen Hong, General Manager of Air Macau, told Ou Mun newspaper that the Macao flag carrier will start flights to Kaohsiung and Seoul next month and to Da Nang, and Manila and Singapore in February.
Air Macau resumed flights to Tokyo, Hanoi and Taipei in October this year after a long period of suspension to Japan and Vietnam due to Covid-19.
Chen Hong said he hopes flights to mainland China will increase by 50 per cent compared with 2019, rising to 90 per cent later in 2023.
He added that he hopes that the frequency of flights will increase to respond to market needs, “helping Macao to develop the international tourist market and offering more options for residents to travel abroad.”
