More than 3,700 residents have put their name down for the second phase of the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” scheme.
Registration opened last Thursday, offering 19 subsidised itineraries to Macao residents. A Macao Government Tourism Office spokesman said that visitors could also pay full price to join the tours, with the exception of the Helicopter Ride Experience and Yacht Check-in.
Since 18 April, 9,149 hotel staycation packages have been sold, accommodating 23,028 overnight guests, The Macau Post Daily reported.
The tours are operated in small groups, which allow participants to enjoy tailor-made itineraries. Transportation services are arranged for tour participants who can request a tour guide service in Cantonese, Putonghua or English.
The tours are operated in strict compliance with the Health Bureau’s guidelines on pandemic prevention.
