Macau, China, 24 Nov – Macau recorded 23 million visitor arrivals in the first 10 months of this year, an increase of 11.4 percent from the same period of last year, according to official statistics.
In October, the number of visitor arrivals rose 13.6 percent year-on-year to 2.37 million. Same-day visitors accounted for 56.1 percent of the total number.
Mainlanders and Hongkongers accounted for 61.7 percent and 23.5 percent of all visitor arrivals last month.
Most mainland visitors were from Fujian , Guangdong and Hunan .
Some 97.1 percent of all visitors came from Asia .
During the first 10 months of the year, 54.8 percent of all visitors arrived by land via Zhuhai, 39.2 percent arrived by ferry from Hong Kong and Guangdong , and just six percent arrived by air, The Macau Post Daily reports today.(MacauNews/Tourism)
