Many of Macao’s elderly and disadvantaged will be getting a helping hand in the near future thanks to the France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC).

For the third year in succession, the chamber’s annual gala dinner – themed A Night at the Museum – will raise funds for the Macao Fok Sin Association (MFS), which organises visits and hands out gifts to the city’s underprivileged.

In 2020 the chamber raised MOP 70,000 which the association used to help elderly with low mobility, lacking in emotional and financial support or without close family.

The previous year, chamber members teamed up with the MFS to distribute care packages containing blankets, rice, cooking oil, soya sauce, noodles and oatmeal to residents of the social housing complex in Ilha Verde, Coloane.

The FMCC 2021 Charity Gala Dinner will be held at MGM Macau on 28 May.
