The Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Elsie Ao Ieong U has appointed Hon Wai as president and Tang Yuk Wa as vice president of the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS), according to Macao Daily today. Their new appointments will take effect this coming Saturday, June 20.
Hon entered civil service in 1995 and was already acting president since December 2019. This was after the departure of former IAS president Celeste Vong Yim Mui who had worked as a civil servant for 27 years.
Tang has been in civil service since 1988 and also became acting vice president since December 2019.
