Macau, China, 25 Jan – Civil aviation authorities of Macau and Chinese mainland signed Monday a cooperation agreement for civil aviation safety, in an effort to share resources, acquire mutual support and achieve cooperative development between the two sides according to Xinhua News Agency.
The signing ceremony, held in the Civil Aviation Authority of Macau (AACM) office, was witnessed by President of AACM Chan Weng Hong, Safety Oversight Commissioner of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Liu Enxiang and other officials of Macau .
The two sides agreed that the CAAC experts will come to Macau every year to provide technical support in the areas of aeronautical information services, cartographic services, flight procedures design, meteorological services and airport fire fighting services, according to the agreement.
In addition, CAAC will invite Macau to participate in training courses and exchange activities organized by the mainland.
The agreement also states that CAAC will form an expert team for this cooperation, who will review the regulations, the management and the operations of the aeronautical information services, cartographic services, flight procedures design, meteorological services and airport fire fighting services in Macao.
The team will also come to Macay every year to conduct on-site inspection and assessment on the operation of the above services and submit reports for recommendation to AACM.
With Hong Kong as a counterpart, the three sides are cooperating among themselves on mutual acceptance of maintenance organizations and mutual acceptance of airworthiness certification, according to AACM.
