The Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau hoisted the typhoon signal No. 10 at 05:00 today as Typhoon Higos approached the city.

Signal No 9 was hoisted at 02:30 on Wednesday after No. 8 was hoisted as 23:00 on Tuesday.

The 3 bridges that connect Macao to Taipa islands are closed and no buses are circulating in the city. The local winds will strengthen.

Today at 02:00, Typhoon Higos was  located about 70 km south of Macao and at 06:00, it was estimated to be about 20 km south-west of the city (near 22.0°N, 113.4°E).

This means that the tropical cyclone continues to approach Macao.
