The Macao Diocese has announced the celebration of a Requiem Mass for Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady on Thursday, 5 January at 7 pm.

Addressing the faithful of the Diocese of Macao, Bishop Stephen Lee expressed sorrow for the passing of the pontiff, emphasising “our gratitude to our late Holy Father for his pastoral care and exemplary service to the Church.”

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI died on 31 December in Rome at the age of 95.
