Macao’s children’s playgrounds, sports and fitness facilities, pavilions, barbecue sites, sports grounds and leisure areas reopen today, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has announced.
Bicycle rental services, the Taipa flea market and the “Gathering at Dusk in Senado Square [Largo do Senado]” are also starting up again. A spokesman for the bureau said its facilities were reopening following the stabilisation of the pandemic situation.
The bureau will continue to ensure the cleanliness of venues and facilities, while also urging citizens to cooperate with the government’s Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control measures. People must also have their temperature checked and present a valid Macao Health Code when entering the IAM venues and facilities.
In related news, due to preparations for the 68th Macau Grand Prix, the bureau will be closing the green area from Praça de Ferreira do Amaral to Rua de Cantão, and the park near the Macau Grand Prix Building. The statement added that during the Macau Grand Prix from 18 to21 November, the green area and park, as well as the D. Maria II Hill Park and D. Maria II Viewpoint, will be closed to the public, The Macau Post Daily reported.
