The passenger ferry service between Macao’s Inner Harbour and Wanzai in Zhuhai will set sail again today, following the stabilisation of the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

The ferry will depart every half hour, and the journey takes just five minutes.

The Marine and Water Bureau has reminded passengers that they must present a valid negative Covid-19 nucleic acid test result when boarding the ferry. Facemasks are compulsory throughout their ferry journey.

The passenger ferry service between the two cities was suspended on 25 September following Macao’s latest Covid-19 wave which started earlier that day with a quarantine hotel security staff Delta variant cluster. The Zhuhai government imposed a 14-day mandatory quarantine for arrivals from Macao the next day, which was lifted last Tuesday.
