Utilities CEM and Macao Water and telecom operator CTM have readjusted their customer service arrangements in line with anti-Covid-19 prevention and control measures during this week’s consolidation period.
CEM’s Macao customer service centre has reopened for those who have made reservations, while its Taipa Customer Service Centre remains closed.
CEM said that customers can make appointments by calling 2833 9911, urging them to arrive on time. The service centre is open from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5:45 pm.
Customers can also check their bills via CEM eService or CEM WeChat, and make payments electronically. For overdue bills, the power supply will not be suspended and no late charge will be imposed.
Detailed arrangements, including bill payment and meter reading, are available via this link.
Macao Water’s Customer Service Centre in Ilha Verde has reopened to provide limited services for customers with appointments through Friday.
The water utility said that customers are advised to prioritise applying for various water supply-related services online through its official WeChat account or website. Those intending to visit the centre must make an appointment by calling 2822 0088.
Fee payment services are not available at the centre, and the handling fees for service applications will be charged in the next billing period. Customers can receive bills by mail and can also check them on the company’s website, official WeChat account and electronic payment platforms.
Furthermore, customers unable to make payments from 20 June to the end of this month will not face late charges or have their water supply disconnected, while the outstanding amount will be carried forward to the next bill.
The opening hours for five CTM shops have been readjusted to provide limited retail services.
The five shops and their service numbers for appointments are Praia Flagship (6681 1000), NAPE Shop (6298 1000), Taipa Store (6281 1000), Kam Hoi San Shop (6698 1000) and CTM Original Store (6288 1000). Customers must call the numbers to make appointments in advance.
Their business hours since Saturday have been adjusted to 10:30 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6:30 pm, with disinfection conducted during the lunch period. However, the payment counters of the stores remain suspended and other CTM stores remain closed.
CTM also urged the public to use CTM Buddy Mobile App, visit their website or call CTM No1 Hotline: 1000 for enquiries or service subscriptions during the period. Telecom services will not be suspended due to overdue bills, The Macau Post Daily reported.
