The Macao government opened today a public tender for the main construction of the Seac Pai Van Line of the light rail.
Proposals can be submitted until 7 September.
According to a note published today in the Official Gazette (BO), the work covers the construction of the Seac Pai Van Line station for the light metro at Hospital das Ilhas, the Hospital das Ilhas station, Seac Pai Van station, viaducts and overpasses for pedestrians.
The overall execution of the work is 960 working days, meaning the project must be ready by 2023.
In May, Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosário said that the expansion of the light metro network is one of the government priorities.
Rosario said that the government will proceed this year, with the tenders of Seac Pai Van and Hengqin metro lines and will continue the work for the connection of the Taipa metro Line to Barra in Macao peninsula.
