Five more outpatient clinics will have opened by the end of this week, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has announced.

The former Escola Luso-Chinesa de Coloane opened as a community outpatient clinic yesterday, while three more clinics will open today, namely the sites of the former Escola Primária Luso-Chinesa do Bairro Norte, Largo do Pagode do Bazar and Luís Camões Garden.

The community outpatient clinic at Travessa Central da Praia Grande (near Grand Emperor Hotel) will also be open from tomorrow. The Centre aims to expand the capacity of the outpatient clinics in various districts.

To meet the public’s needs, the sitting-out area in Rua da Pérola Oriental and Rotunda do Estádio in Taipa’s community outpatient clinics’ consultation rooms will be enlarged. There will also be more bus stops for the special bus routes to the clinics.

With the establishment of the outpatient clinics, the nucleic acid testing services at Largo do Pagode do Bazar, Luís de Camões Garden and Travessa Central da Praia Grande will be suspended.
