A decayed corpse and two dog carcasses found in a Chun Hei Garden unit in Ilha Verde, the Judiciary Police (PJ) announced Monday evening.

The deceased 51-year-old female Macau resident, surnamed Lou, lived alone with her two dogs. Upon police investigation, found that her sister had not made contact with her since the Lunar New Year.

On Monday evening (4th), Lou’s son and sister, both of whom lived separately from the deceased, made a visit. Having rung the doorbell multiple times with no response, they called a locksmith to open the door.

Due to another lock mechanism closed from within, they called the Fire Services Bureau (FSM) for help to pry the door open.

They found skeletal remains on the living room floor, as well as two dog carcasses elsewhere in the unit.

The cause of death is subject for further forensic examination and the case still requires a followup investigation.
