All nucleic acid test (NAT) centres across Macao will be suspended if Typhoon Signal No 8 is hoisted, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre has announced.

Apart from the seven permanent NAT centres at Pac On, Kiang Wu Hospital, University Hospital, Macao Forum, Macao Federation of Trade Unions Workers Stadium, Qingmao Port and Hengqin Port, the five additional temporary NAT centres for yellow health code holders and the city’s mobile NAT buses will also be temporarily suspended.

The two NAT buses parked at Affiliated School of the University of Macau and Kee Kwan Coach Station on Rua das Lorchas were scheduled to serve yellow code holders from 29 June to 2 July.

The Centre said that people with yellow health codes would not be assigned red codes if they cannot make it to their NAT appointment due to these suspensions.

All NAT centres will reopen two hours after Typhoon Signal 8 is downgraded and no new appointment booking is needed. Individuals should undergo their NATs within three days between 2-4 July.
