A total of 382 new Covid-19 cases were registered in Macao yesterday, among which 102 had symptoms and 280 were asymptomatic, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced.
The figure is again nearly double the number of cases recorded in the previous day.
Aged from six to 78 years old, the new cases comprised 185 women and 197 men. Thirteen of all the cases were found under control in medical observation hotels and hospitals, while 369 were detected in the community.
Out of all the cases found in the community, 163 were detected in rapid antigen testing (RAT), 177 in mixed and single-sample nucleic acid testing (NAT) in Macao, 10 in NAT in Zhuhai and four cases of close contacts, while 15 cases came from emergency services and people who got fever and went to a clinic.
Macao has recorded 923 positive cases since 28 November.
Meanwhile, all hotels in Macao will be allowed to receive people who are positive for Covid-19 and their close contacts starting tomorrow, announced the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre, who has also released relevant Covid-19 prevention guidelines for the hotels.
