Macau’s gaming revenue registered a rise of 1.1 per cent year-on-year in August, reversing the 26-month slump of the industry.
Macau’s gaming sector collected about 18.8 billion patacas (about US$ 2.4 billion) in August, up 1.1 per cent from the previous year, according to the data released by the special administrative region’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau on Thursday.
As the pillar industry of Macau, gambling business generated 144.3 billion patacas (US$ 17.6 billion) revenue for the past eight months, official figure showed.(Macaunews/Xinhua)
