The head of the International Motorcycling Federation Asia (FIM Asia) gave a “very positive feedback” after inspecting the city’s Guia Circuit early this year, describing it as a “good street circuit”, Pun Weng Kun, president of the Sports Bureau and coordinator of the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee, said Wednesday.  

Kenyan Felix Kiptoo Kirwa won the 36th men´s Macao International Marathon marathon with 2:10:01 followed by his compatriots Joseph Kyengo Munywoki (2:13:18) and Henry Sang (2:13:48) today. 

Red Bull junior Dan Ticktum took a sensational win in the 64th Macau Grand Prix after the leading two cars crashed at the final corner on the last lap.

The Topgun Racing Honda rider crashed at Fisherman’s Bend on lap six of the race, hitting the barriers on the outside of the circuit and losing his crash helmet.

SJM Theodore Racing Team Principal Teddy Yip Jr. underlined on Tuesday that his team had its record eighth victory at the Macau Grand Prix in 2015, adding he believed his team was in good shape to reclaim the title on Sunday.

This year Macau will host three major events, including two FIA World Cups – the FIA Formula 3 World Cup and the FIA GT World Cup, and also the FIA World Touring Car Championship.

Gaganjeet Bhullar won the Macau Open trophy for the second time in his career after closing with a three-under-par 68 to complete a wire-to-wire victory.

The 2017 Wushu Master Challenge closed officially on Sunday at Senado Square, followed by a closing ceremony at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavillion.

The FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) is now officially included in the Macau Grand Prix program.
