The Macau Trampoline Gymnastics Championship 2024 is scheduled to take place at the International School of Macau (TIS) on 18 and 19 May, according to its organiser the Trampoline and Acrobatic Sports Association of Macau (known by its Portuguese initials ATDAM).

A total of 103 competitors from four schools and clubs will be attending the event, including Escola Portuguesa de Macau, the Gymnastics Association of Hong Kong, Gymnastic Club Macau and Union Acro Gymnastics.

Gymnasts will be split into four age groups from ages 9 to 15 or over, and will take part in the tumbling and mini-trampoline competitions for their age category. The first Saturday event will begin at 9 am and end with an awards ceremony at 6:20 pm. Sunday’s competition is scheduled to begin at 9 am, with awards to be handed out at 12:40 pm.

According to the association’s events director, Ana Conde, “this competition is unique as there is no other association promoting events for trampoline gymnastics in Macau, making it a one-of-a-kind opportunity for participants.”

Conde notes that the organisation hopes to provide more chances for residents in the city to partake in trampoline gymnastics, with the long-term goal being to “take some of our gymnasts to compete in events outside of Macao.”

Established in 2017, ATDAM has also organised other events including the Trampoline Gymnastics Judging Workshop and the Gymnastics Club Cup.
