The government’s current budget surplus reached 30.52 billion patacas at the end of June, a year-on-year increase of 50.8 percent, the Finance Services Bureau (DSF) announced Thursday.
According to the announcement, the government’s revenue amounted to 64.37 billion patacas in the first half of the year, when its expenditure stood at 33.85 billion patacas.
Direct gaming tax payments rose 18.1 percent to 55.89 billion patacas, accounting for 86.8 percent of the government’s total receipts in the first six months of the year.
