The official opening of the Treasure Island Mall at the Treasure Island Resort World Hotel will take place on 1 October, according to industry media, while the 600-room hotel will have its soft opening during the summer months.
The five-floor mall spans some 400,000 square feet, making it the largest on the Macao peninsula. Realtor JLL told media that most of the outlets have been leased, with Galleries Lafayette, a UFC Gym, and collectible figurine chain Pop Mart among the tenants.
There will also be a 30,000-square-foot cinema, supermarkets and dining facilities.

Oliver Tong, JLL’s general manager in Macao and Zhuhai said retailers were interested in the Treasure Island Mall because of the recovery of Macao’s tourism sector and because supply of city centre mall space would be limited for some time to come.
According to the Statistics and Census Service, retail sales in the first quarter of 2023 jumped by almost 30 percent year on year to reach 24 billion patacas.
In a survey, almost 34 percent of retailers anticipated an increase in sales volume in the second quarter of 2023.
