The Macao International Parade will return during the first or second quarter of next year, according to Cultural Affairs Bureau president Leong Wai Man.
Broadcaster TDM reports that the route of the parade – suspended since 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic – will be broadened to include different neighbourhoods.
The culture chief was speaking to media on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Macau International Museum Day Carnival at the Macau Science Centre.

Leong said the parade would continue to showcase the convergence of Chinese and European cultures in Macao.
The Macao International Parade was last held in December 2019. The ceremony started at the Ruins of St Paul and ended at Sai Van Lake Square, where a celebration was held to mark the 20th Anniversary of Macao’s reunification with China.
The parade was attracting some 1,800 participants, and large crowds of spectators, before its suspension in 2020.
