Macau Legend Development has announced a delay in despatching its 2021 Annual Report and the continued suspension of trading.

The company was founded by David Chow Kam Fai, who hit the headlines last month when he lambasted the government’s handling of the economy.

A statement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange underlined that the company is required to despatch its annual report for the year ended 31 December 2021 to its shareholders not later than four months after the end of the financial year of the company, meaning on or before 30 April 2022.

The statement underlined that due to the delay in publication of the 2021 annual results, the despatch of the 2021 annual report will also be delayed, adding that the company will endeavour to despatch the 2021 annual report to its shareholders as soon as possible.

The statement also pointed out that, at the request of the company, trading in its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange was suspended with effect from 9 am on 1 April 2022, pending the publication of the 2021 annual results. As a result of the delay in publication of the 2021 annual results… trading in the shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will remain suspended until further notice, the statement noted.

The statement was issued by Macau Legend Development Limited Co-chairman and Non-executive Director David Chow Kam Fai on behalf of its board of directors.
