The Macao leg of the tournament will feature teams from China, the Dominican Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, Brazil, Thailand, Japan and France.

The overall competition takes place between 14 May and 23 June, with a total of 16 teams taking part in three weeks of preliminary rounds across seven different locations. The finals will be held in Bangkok.

Tickets for the Macao matches will cost between 180 patacas and 1,380 patacas and will be available through Damai, MacauTicket.com and Citylines starting from 3 pm on 6 May.

The Women’s Volleyball Nations League was last held in Macao in 2019, but was suspended for four years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  This year’s venue can hold up to 16,000 people, unlike the Macao Forum venue for the last tournament, which only had a capacity of 4,000 seats.
