An online registration system is now available for returnees and travellers to the Philippines, called the eTravel platform.
The launch of the platform is in line with the Philippine government’s “efforts to streamline its entry procedures and data collection processes” and is a joint initiative between different Philippine entities, the Philippine Consulate General of Macao noted.
The newly launched platform includes the paper Arrival Card’s electronic version, which travellers to the Philippines need to submit upon arriving for immigration clearance.
The Philippines’ Bureau of Immigration discontinued the use of the paper Arrival Card on Monday, with travellers instead required to provide their arrival information and health declaration through the eTravel portal.
The health declaration checklist of the Department of Health – Bureau of Quarantine can be accessed through the portal. The One Health Pass and its domain is no longer accessible to the public, with those visiting its website now redirected to the new eTravel domain.
Registration on the platform is free, and members of the public should beware of websites soliciting payments and fees as they are not related to the official platform.
At the end of October, according to Macao Labour Affairs Bureau, there were 24,473 non-resident workers (NRWs) from the Philippines in Macao, accounting for 15.9 per cent of the total NRWs at that time, The Macau Post Daily reported.
