Macao residents are being offered discounts on hotel accommodation, sightseeing, and admission to scenic spots in Nanshan in a bid to boost tourism.
Encompassing 182 square kilometres and more than a million inhabitants, Nanshan is one of nine districts making up the Shenzhen conurbation. A wealthy area of tech parks and affluent homes, it also boasts the 228-hectare Nanshan Park and a number of other tourist draws.
Among the must-see attractions are the Sea World Culture and Arts Centre (an outpost of London’s famed V&A Museum), Shenzhen Bay Park and the Splendid China Folk Village.
