With over 120 dining options showcasing cuisines from across China and 13 international styles, Galaxy Macau is without doubt one of the premier dining destinations in Asia. Whether you’re in the mood for authentic Portuguese creations, innovative French dishes, or something else entirely, the integrated resort offers something for everyone. Beyond their sheer diversity, these restaurants cater to various moods and occasions, from lively gatherings with friends to intimate family meals.
As your calendar fills up this festive season, here are four standout restaurants that promise to elevate your holiday dining experience.
European elegance at Raffles Lounge & Terrace
Celebrate Christmas in an opulent atmosphere at Raffles Lounge & Terrace, located within Raffles at Galaxy Macau. Underneath a breathtaking 15-metre-tall chandelier crafted from hundreds of thousands of crystals, enjoy a spectacular dining experience crafted by award-winning Chef de Cuisine Yorick Soh.
Available on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, the five-course festive menus highlight refined French flavours. On Christmas, feast on Alaskan king crab, your choice of buttery John Dory fish or char-grilled M7 grade wagyu, and a decadent forest log cake with pistachio ice cream.
Meanwhile, the New Year’s Eve menu focuses on the best the ocean has to offer, featuring Alaskan king crab, highly prized Gillardeau oysters, and pan-seared Atlantic cod with yuzu beurre blanc.
Complete the experience with expertly paired wines – all handpicked from the resort’s extensive collection.
Christmas buffet for the whole family at Andaz Kitchen
Can’t pick between Portuguese, Macanese or Chinese for the family’s Christmas get-together? Fret not. Set within Andaz Macau – the largest Andaz property in the world – Andaz Kitchen can cater to the whole party with a bountiful buffet featuring all three. The festive spread has been curated by Executive Chef André Lai, who discovered his passion for cooking as a child, inspired by a family rich in diverse cultural influences.

Front and centre of the Christmas buffet dinner served on 24 and 25 December will be a Portuguese classic that often graces lusitanian celebrations: whole baby goat, roasted to perfection. Another standout is bacalhau com todos, a dish steeped in tradition that many Portuguese families enjoy during Christmas. Its base is Portugal’s best loved fish, bacalhau (salt cod) served alongside boiled greens, all bathed in olive oil. Don’t underestimate this Christmas staple for its unpretentious appearance; it tastes of comfort and tradition, and you’ll enjoy every bite.
On 24 and 25 December, what could be better than to gather the family over a lazy Christmas brunch? Andaz Kitchen’s regular brunch is already one of the best in the city, and infused with yuletide flair the Christmas Brunch spread sounds just as promising.
To drink, free-flowing sangria adds a sense of joy to highly anticipated gatherings.
French classics galore at Café de Paris Monte-Carlo
The Macao outpost of Monaco’s renowned establishment, Café de Paris Monte-Carlo brings comforting French classics especially crafted for the holidays to Galaxy Macau, in a convivial atmosphere perfect for gathering with friends and family.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, first is duck foie gras terrine, followed by pumpkin soup, then your choice of red snapper or beef striploin, before caramel chocolate cake. As for New Year’s Eve, get ready for a treat with tuna tartare topped with caviar, and a comforting lobster bisque. For your main course, you can indulge in either roasted codfish or the beloved filet de bœuf Rossini (tenderloin crowned with foie gras) served with a tasty black pepper sauce.
To add a sparkling touch, all menus come with a flute of G. H. Mumm champagne.
For homebodies who prefer to spend the holidays in the comfort of their homes, the café offers hefty takeaway sets so that you can enjoy a hassle-free party. The sets (which feed 6 to 8 diners) come complete with your pick of smoked barbecue baby back ribs or charcuterie platter, roast turkey, handcrafted chestnut and sage stuffing made with brioche, and delicious sides such as potato fondant. Save space for the seasonal pecan pie too.
Terrazza Italian Restaurant
Covering a range of regional cuisines from the north to the south of Italy, Terrazza Italian Restaurant honours Italian culinary tradition with a menu focusing on fresh, premium produce and authentic flavours – strengths that have garnered the attention of the Michelin Guide, which included it on this year’s list of selected restaurants.
For Christmas (24 and 25) and New Year’s Eve, Terraza has you covered with menus that feature Italian flavors in abbondanza. While exquisite chestnut soup, risotto, and slow-braised ossobuco will grace the dining table for Christmas, it’s dishes like Fassona beef carpaccio, stuffed zucchini flowers, and squid ink ravioli that will steal the show on December 31.
On both occasions, the experience will be rounded off with the restaurant’s homemade panettone with zabaione liquor and a take on a French dessert that has found popularity in various cuisines, including Italian – the floating island.
For an immersive dining experience, consider adding wine pairing. Italy packs a punch when it comes to wine, and at Terrazza the cellar houses a curated selection of over 100 labels.
