Leong Wai Man will take over as the Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) on a one-year contract starting from the beginning of next month.
Leong joined the IC in 2009 and served as the Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage. In January 2018, she was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau.
Leong takes over from Mok Ian Ian, who moved to the Macao Science Center last Wednesday.
The Official Gazette has also announced that Kong Chi Meng will become Director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.
Kong has served in the bureau since 2007 and most recently was the vice–director.
The former director, Lou Pak Sang is stepping down.
