Huang Liuquan, a former deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office (HKMO), has been appointed as a deputy director of the central government’s Liaison Office in Macao.

Huang, who was born in October 1964, holds a Master’s degree in Civil Law from Peking University.

Before his appointment to his new post, Huang served as a deputy director of the HKMAO for six years.

The Liaison Office in Macao now has two deputy directors. The other is Yan Zhichan.

The Liaison Office has been headed by Zheng Xincong since May this year. Zheng is the highest-ranking central government official in the city, The Macau Post Daily reported.
