Macao-based foreign nationals will be able to get a visa to visit the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, starting tomorrow.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macao has decided to issue visas to meet the requirements of the general plan for the development of Hengqin, promote Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability and integrate the city into the nation’s overall development, The Macau Post Daily reported.
Visa regulations are as follows: Foreigners who are Macao permanent residents can apply for a five-year multiple-entry visa while foreigners who are Macao non-permanent residents can apply for a multiple-entry visa with the same validity period as the resident ID card.
Foreign non-resident workers (specialised workers only) can apply for a one-year multiple-entry visa; foreigners who stay in Macao temporarily with a plan to attend conventions or exhibitions in the Cooperation Zone can apply for a three-month multiple-entry visa.
